Child Safety

Child safety and wellbeing is part of The Ark Community Church (TACC) governance, leadership and culture. As part of this, we at the TACC ensure that child abuse of any kind or harmful discrimination on the basis of identified attributes will not be tolerated.

It is the responsibility of the church leadership, including the management committee, to ensure that child safety education and practices are followed by all staff and volunteers.  All staff and volunteers are to read and sign the Child-safe Code of Conduct and the ministry declaration.

There is also annual training for all those involved with children to ensure their understanding of obligations under the law regarding child protection, record keeping and information sharing.  It the responsibility of the Senior Pastor and Child protection officer to guarantee this is completed on an annual to bi-annual basis.

The Safeguarding Children, Child Protection Policy and Procedures and Child-safe Code of Conduct is available upon request by contact us via email: office@theark.org.au.
